Cool Rings in Real Life: Christen’s Beautiful Aquamarine
Christen from An Aqua Juel has a positively BEAUTIFUL aquamarine engagement ring and agreed to share a bit of herself with the Turtle Love Committee blog.

What is your favorite place in the whole wide world? Soon it will be my own house…but until then, just about anywhere near water or where I can hike.
What’s your favorite color? Blue!
What would you do if you had a million dollars? Travel to places far far away with my fiance, have Annie Liebowitz take photographs of all of my family, and buy an house that is eco-friendly and has an awesome backyard, go back to school to get my doctorate in dance anthropology. Oh, and pay off student loans and all that boring stuff.
What do you do for work? I just finished grad school and am hoping to get a job teaching elementary school.
What are you afraid of? Spiders - I don’t even like typing the word.
Favorite joke? A: Knock knock B: Who’s There? A: Interrupting Cow B: Interrupt - A: MOO!
Favorite book? Eat, Pray, Love, by Elizabeth Gilbert
What is the last book you read? The Secret Garden, by Frances Hodgson Burnett
Pet peeve? Hearing people gulp or chew.
What is your favorite physical feature? My shoulders.
Who is your partner? The coolest, funniest, most caring and thoughtful guy ever. Oh, and he’s really handsome too 
I can’t wait to see what adventures we get to go on together!
How did you and your partner decide to get married? I think we knew a few weeks into our relationship, but he decided to wait to ask me (two years later) in the most beautiful place in the world - Sevilla, Spain. I think it was worth the wait!
What does your wedding/engagement/commitment ring look like? A cushion-cut pale aquamarine with a halo of micro-pave diamonds. I ADORE it!!

Cool Rings in Real Life: Maggie’s Ring
One of our readers, Maggie, sent a picture of her ring and shared a little bit of herself with us. The ring is a bit hard to see in the picture, but her description of the ring is beautiful!
What is your favorite place in the whole wide world? My home.
Who is your partner? Al, an amazing man who has more love for me than I could ever imagine being given. He is funny, sincere, witty, and someone I am proud to have next to me forever.
A fond memory? My fondest memory so far in our relationship is when we went to an African Safari Park. I fed a giraffe, got licked by a buffalo, and neither of us have laughed so hard and had such a wonderful day together.
What are you passionate about? I am passionate about animals. We have three dogs and one cat and it still doesn’t feel like I have enough animals around me.
If you could be any animal, what would you be? A sheep dog. They are caring, loyal, and have tons of fur.
What is the last book you read? Psychology Applied To Modern Life
Favorite beverage? Coca-Cola
What is your favorite physical feature? My eyes
What does your wedding/engagement/commitment ring look like? The ring features the claddagh between each of the three gaelic words: cara, mo, anam. The Gaelic words translate to: “my soulmate.” It was hand-made by a silversmith from a company in Ireland called IreCraft.
What do you think about your ring? I think the ring expresses who we are and the love we have between us. I absolutely love it!
