     I caught the woman absentmindedly rotating the pendant on her necklace.  This fascinated me, as it seemed, regardless of which way she moved it, the pendant looked perfect.  Upside down, upside right, sideways, this way, that way . . . all ways worked.  It was both wonderful and baffling at the same time.  "It's best to not over analyze things, darling," she remarked, catching my eye on her neck.  "Not love, not words, not beautiful jewelry.  Let us enjoy the things we have for what they are," and she moved the pendant so it rested downward.  "Or what they could be," a sly grin crept on her face as her fingers slid the pendant sideways instead.
