Handcrafted in Maine by Heather Perry, the Dryad Three Sapphire Wedding Band is made using recycled sterling silver and conflict-free sapphires. The beautifully-marked band is inspired by the raw imperfection of nature, and the sapphires shine out from the band like the spirit of the woods.

The poet Keats was familiar with the ancient Greek personification of the forest. Dryads, like the nightingale in his poem, presided over the trees. They were rhapsodized in mythology as beautiful, mysterious female sprites, born with each new tree, living and growing with the forest around them. If a dryad’s tree comes to harm, she suffers with it; when her tree is healthy and strong, she thrives. The dryads inspired passion in the gods and mortals alike: Eurydice was a wood nymph whose husband, Orpheus, loved her so much he followed her to the Underworld to find her and bring her back.
