  Diamond Wedding Band - Special Order
 
 
Michele Scholnick handcrafts the Diamond Wedding Band in California. The band measures 2mm wide and is faceted with 8 1.5mm diamonds. They capture the light and sparkle from the brushed sterling silver, like dew drops collecting on a blade of grass.

The eight diamonds in this wedding band are arranged like stepping stones. Along with the physical, literal meaning of the phrase - a stone that can be used to cross something, like a marsh or creek - a stepping stone can be a metaphor for the process of getting from one place to another. A stepping stone is indicative of a path, of progress, of destination. We each have our own path, with our own stepping stones - these diamonds, arranged in a circle, imply a more cyclical route. They remind us to put our minds not on our destination, but on the sweet and lovely path itself.
